Scott Sheldon - The founding father of the Vanity Killz Band, Scott has always been musically influenced since he first witnessed Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock in 1969 with his father Jack, he was 4 years old then and was part of a generation raised on roots rock. By 1975 he had seen many of the most influential artists of the late 1960s -70s.  At the tender age of 12, he and his father Jack Francis built his first Gold Top Les Paul electric guitar  & Bassman style amp by hand, which led to his love of building and playing his own brand of guitars.  In 1978, he joined the popular local working band "Black Pearl" and spent the latter part of the 70's playing screaming guitar in every major venue & bar he could get into as a minor. He finally got his big break into pro music in the early 1980's with his band "Rumors" which jetted to local fame in Boston by the mid 80's to support such national acts such as X,  Farrenheit , Letters to Cleo, The Del Fuegos  and The Cars, and a bunch others.

He is also an active member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG and AFTRA) since 1991 and has appeared in a multitude of major motion pictures and television shows along with print - commercial modeling during his late teens early 20's. AKA - Scott A. Fitzgibbons  of Weymouth, Massachusetts

"I got my first chance at semi-stardom in the movie "School Ties" with Brendan Frazier, I got the acting bug soon after college and spent years working as an extra and character work in Malice, Housesitter, Civil Action, Blown Away and many more films shot in and around Boston during the 80s/90's. During that time I got the opportunity to share the same stage with the 1980's Super Group "Farrenheit staring Charlie Farren on guitars and vocals. Charlie and Joe Perry of Aerosmith  had played together in the Joe Perry Project  previously and had been buds for a long time, they were  local favorites and had quiet a following as a matter of fact Charlie still has a major local following in Boston.

It was a great time to be around in the music scene in Boston and was definitely history in the making"!  After taking some time off to act and model in Western Europe during the early 1990's, later he joined forces with the well known Western Mass band "Cause Unknown" to tour the east coast college scene until his departure out to the West Coast in 2000.  More recently, Sheldon wrapped up playing guitar / keys for The Southern Crush Band featuring his buds Rhonda/Gyro and Jeff Bennett on Bass and also has played with various other California original acts such as OC rockers - Syren, Star69, Becca, Reckless Driver and Full Blown Karma aka The Absolute Raging Maniacs and the Daniel Morones Band for special guest appearances.

In 2007 Sheldon concluded the Florida leg of the VANITY KILLZ SPRING '07 TOUR  by touring all of south Florida (Bike Week / Spring Break - Daytona ) and returned to Southern California in late 2007 to restart the California Chapter of the Vanity Killz Band again. Sheldon has performed at major venues on the Sunset Strip and has appeared at The House of Blues - The Greek Theatre - The Coach House - The Galaxy Theatre and The Roxy. His former original band Full Blown Karma opened for Great White at the Galaxy New Years Eve.

Now in 2011, he is taking it to the next level as the NEW VANITY KILLZ BAND which has launched the new OC based super group and will be better than ever this year.

Dave Sale  - Bass / Vocals

Dave joined Vanity Killz in January of 2011 and is VKB's full time bassist extraordinaire / BU vocalist moving forward. Dave has been in bands since he was a kid. "Bass guitar was always my first love. I tried the electric guitar and did fine but it never really took like the bass. Then, in the 1990s, I saw an amazing bass player who broke all the stiff bass player stereotypes--he transformed mundane 70's tunes into funk wonders and made me think 'I wanna do that.' Before I knew it, I traded my guitar rig in on a bass rig."  Dave jokes: "My goal on either instrument is to rise above the shackles of my race and help the rhythm section cut a groove deep enough to swim in." Dave's bass influences include many heavy weight bass players including Geddy Lee and John Paul Jones and many others. He has been playing the Orange county circuit for years with various bands.

Vanity Killz welcomes Dave to our new line-up and look forward to many fun filled exciting new gigs coming soon.
